Since 1976, New Day has been creating safe spaces for young people in Albuquerque to connect with friends and caring adults. Our goal is to help them build the skills they need to achieve their dreams.
Our mission is to help young people connect to safety, the community and themselves. Our vision is a world where all young people’s identities and talents compliment and strengthen their community. We are a safe place for all young people; regardless of their background and identity.

EMPOWER
Our supports and services work together with other community resources to serve youth and build their inner strength and momentum. We aim to assist and empower them in their journey towards increased stability, wellness, and hope.
New Day works with over 900 young people ages 11-25 who are unhoused and/or disconnected, every single year.

SERVICES
Transitional Housing Supports offers 6-18-month subsidized housing and thoughtful, balanced support for youth ages 17-24.
The Safe Home is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Shelter services are available for young people, age 11-17, that need a safe place to stay for a few weeks.
